Blu Ray Players – Important Features And Buying Guide

Blu Ray is the latest high definition video technology that over took HD-DVD as the standard for high definition movies, video and players. With the invention of Blu Ray disks comes not only comes superb picture quality, but also a new durability and longer life span of the disks themselves not before seen with DVD disks and movies. Another benefit is that these disks can store a much larger amount of data and video than the traditional DVD-R and DVD-RW disks. Up to 25GB of data on a single layer disk and up to 50GB of data on a dual layer disk and over 9 hours of high-definition video on a 50GB disc.

Choosing a Blu Ray player will mostly depend on your personal budget as their prices range from budget models to very expensive high performance types.

For those shopping for the best Blu-ray disc players and know that price is not a limitation, then there are several quality brands to choose from on the market. The problem is that most consumers do not know how to compare one Blu-ray with another. Hello Everyone ^_^ I recently purchased a copy of Hancock on Blu-ray, and noticed that the underside of the disc had this weird pattern. Is it possibly heat damage (warped disc)? I checked my other blu-ray movies and noticed that a couple of them had the same pattern (some worse than others), while some were perfect (like a mirror). They work, but I was wondering if this would damage the discs in the long run. My PS3 games are in perfect condition (mirror-like), but it seems that the blu-ray movies are effected by this issue. Could it be the way the discs were pressed and that this is normal? Its hard to tell in the video, but it has a very noticeable wavy pattern in-person. Thank you for your help and time, it'll be much appreciated, Take care ^_^

Its as if McG and Halcyon want to fuck Terminator fans as much as FOX did with T:SCC. This was the year Terminator Fans got a great TV Show, and finally another Sequel, and got their TV SHOW taken away, and their Sequel hacked up to shit, only to hear McG say, the DVD will be filled with Deleted scenes, only to later find out, IT WON'T. Fuck all these Terminator Producers, Distributors, and Fox, and Warner Brothers, they have become the ultimate company to SHIT on their own fans this year, ALL OVER TERMINATOR... Warner Home Video has released some limited details about the release of Terminator Salvation on DVD and Blu-ray which is set to hit retailers on December 1. There will be two versions released, the single-disc DVD and the two-disc Blu-ray. The single-disc DVD will include the theatrical cut of the film along with the featurette about those motorcycle terminators (the moto-terminators) from the film. The Blu-ray edition will feature both, the theatrical cut and the directors cut (which adds a whopping three minutes to the film) of Terminator Salvation, along with a digital copy.
